Dr. Ramo has expertise in using social medial to conduct survey research and design and test interventions to reduce substance use among young adult polysubstance users.  She has recently conducted a mixed-methods study to evaluate young adults' receptivity to a Facebook-based intervention to reduce tobacco use, and is funded with a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) K23 award, to design and test the efficacy of a Facebook-based smoking cessation intervention for young adults with promising initial results.
