
Jyothi Marbin, MD
Jyothi Marbin, MD, is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF. She is the director of the Pediatric Leaders Advancing Health Equity (PLUS) residency program, the Director of Intern Selection for the Department of Pediatrics, and is an Associate Program Director for Recruitment and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Pediatrics Residency Program at UCSF. She is also the co-director of the Health Equity & Racial Justice (HEAR Justice) GME Pathway.
As an educator, Dr. Marbin is interested in developing anti racist curricula around leadership, social justice and health equity. Her areas of interest include social justice and medical education, design thinking and adaptive leadership. She completed the UCSF Teaching Scholars Program in 2017 and completed a Certificate in Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University in 2020.
Dr. Marbin's research interests focus on the medical education to advance health equity. She is also interested in the impact of tobacco on low income, urban children and reducing the burden of secondhand smoke on children.
Dr. Marbin attends in the primary care clinic, urgent care clinic and asthma clinic at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital.
