Dr. Wang is a health economist with research interest in economic analysis of tobacco use behaviors and economic evaluation of tobacco control policies. She is interested in understanding tobacco use behaviors including poly use of tobacco products, the transitions of tobacco use status, the switch between different tobacco products, evaluating the impacts of economics and health policies in vulnerable subgroups and in the general population as a whole, estimating the economic costs of secondhand smoke exposure and tobacco use including emerging tobacco products such as cigars, smokeless tobacco and e-cigarettes. She is specialized in economic and statistical modeling using secondary large population data.
